Job Overview:

We’re seeking a creative and organized  Marketing & Booking Assistant to support the planning, promotion, and execution of live shows and arts events. You’ll be responsible for helping book talent, design promotional materials, maintain our online presence, and support day-of-show logistics.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone already immersed in the live music/art scene—especially someone who’s curating their own shows or looking to level up in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with booking artists, venues, and coordinating show logistics
• Design promotional graphics (flyers, social media content, etc.)
• Capture high-quality content (photo/video) at events
• Manage social media accounts and implement effective posting strategies
• Stay compliant with social media community guidelines/bylaws
• Help write compelling event copy, press releases, and email blasts
• Assist in building relationships with artists, venues, and press contacts
• Track marketing performance and event success metrics

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of live music and the arts (bonus if you already curate your own shows)
• Proficiency with design tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar
• Comfortable behind a camera (photo and/or video)
• Social media savvy — especially Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook — and aware of their policies and best practices
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Available for some evenings and weekends
• Strong communication and people skills

Preferred But Not Required:

• Experience with email marketing platforms (like Mailchimp)
• Familiarity with booking software or spreadsheets
• Existing connections in local music/art communities
