Job Title: Echo Technician – Contract
Location: New York, NY 10001
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Part-Time – Tuesdays & Thursdays, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $40–$48 per hour
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Echo Technician to join a well-regarded healthcare team on a part-time contract basis. The successful candidate will perform and assist in the interpretation of a variety of echocardiographic procedures, with a strong focus on adult and geriatric populations. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise, professionalism, and a patient-centered approach to care.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform M-mode, 2D, color Doppler, pulse wave, continuous wave, and contrast echocardiograms
Conduct stress echocardiograms and assist cardiologists during testing
Complete echo worksheets with accurate measurements and calculations
Document procedures in patient medical records in a timely manner
Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment; perform routine troubleshooting
Ensure examination areas are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
Provide support and training to students, fellows, or junior technologists
Educate and comfort patients throughout the imaging process
Participate in ongoing education and required training sessions
Follow all safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance protocols
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field preferred
Current registry with ARDMS or CCI required
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in echocardiography
Proficient in performing and documenting stress echocardiograms
