Status: Non-Exempt

Salary Range: $40,205 - $54,395 ( $19.33 – $26.15 per hour)

Position Summary

This is a non-exempt, full-time position located in Grand Junction. This is the second level on a defined career path towards a career in Compliance and Risk Management. The Compliance Analyst is responsible for performing a variety of activities in support of the Bank’s Compliance Management System, Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Consumer Compliance and Community Reinvestment policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Must be proficient and able to perform all essential duties and responsibilities of the Compliance Analyst I. In addition, this position will:

  • Maintain detailed documentation to demonstrate compliance with regulations and internal policies and procedures
  • Support with various monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting and monitoring requirements.
  • Able to work independently or with little supervision, in a team environment, take initiative, prioritize tasks, with the ability to provide problem prevention and resolutions.
  • Work accurately with close attention to details, displaying good time-management skills.
  • Assist with corrective actions to audit or examination exception findings, tracking policies/procedures, and internal controls for annual approval
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Other functions and responsibilities may be added at the Bank’s discretion

Compliance

  • Point of contact with corrective actions to audit or examination exception findings, tracking policies/procedures, and internal controls for annual approval
  • Support with compliance related questions and/or research for both consumer and commercial loans
  • Oversee the Customer Complaint management process
  • Support with HMDA importation into QuestSoft and data validation
  • Support with flood insurance reviews to ensure adequate coverage is in place
  • Support with consumer compliance monitoring
  • Support with preparation and presentation of consumer compliance training
  • Support with third-party vendor relationships of the Bank throughout their life cycle and ensure that the Bank maintains an effective Vendor Management Program in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Support with the review of Marketing materials
  • Processing of Subpoena, Garnishment, Levies, etc.
  • Create Participation Due Diligence reviews
  • DepositPro and LaserPro Admin Compliance reviews
  • Privacy/Annual Billing Notice Statement release
  • Assist with staff compliance and CRA related trainings
  • Become Proficient with responding to Deposit Operations with Compliance questions

Community Reinvestment Act

  • Support Compliance/CRA Team Lead with CRA Public File updates
  • Analyze CRA reports generated from QuestSoft and qualify/validate Community Development (CD) activities
  • Complete quality assurance/audit reviews to ensure data integrity and process consistency
  • Develop and/or maintain formal process documentation including job aids and other procedural documents
  • Assist with gathering data and preparing for CRA examinations, internal audits and controls testing
  • Participate in and execute special projects and effectively manage assigned deliverables
  • Maintain data related to the CRA Public File

Audit Coordination

  • Risk Assessment – Assist with identifying, analyzing and evaluating risks and mitigants to determine appropriate audit plan to ensure safety and compliance of the Bank
  • Request for Proposals (RFPs): Coordinate the preparation and distribution of RFPs to potential audit firms, outlining the Bank's requirements, expectations, and selection criteria. Participate in the evaluation of proposals received, assessing factors such as qualifications, proposed audit approach, team composition, and cost-effectiveness. Conduct due diligence on prospective audit firms, including reviewing their audit methodologies, quality control processes, regulatory compliance history, and independence.
  • Track Audit Findings: Maintain Conetrix database to monitor audit findings, recommendations, and remediation actions. Ensure timely follow-up on open items and collaborate with relevant team members to address outstanding issues.

Fraud Prevention

  • Assist with the Regulation E/Error Resolution process.
  • Assist in reconciling and balance of Debit Card GL
  • Assist with Mobile Deposit Review
  • Assist with review of daily fraud alerts, as needed.

Physical Requirements & Job Expectations

  • High School Diploma
  • Preferred 5 years of banking experience, finance, legal or related field
  • Obtain at least one professional designation of Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer (CCBCO) and/or Certified BSA/AML Professional (CBAP), Certified Community Bank Security Officer (CCBSO), Certified Community Bank Internal Auditor (CCBIA)
  • Must work towards obtaining professional designation of Certified Community Bank Compliance Officer (CCBCO)
  • Strong ability to apply good judgment, discretion and confidentiality
  • Highly organized with an ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Motivation to set goals, establish priorities and be highly productive on a daily basis
  • Able to work independently or with little supervision, in a team environment, take initiative, prioritize tasks, with the ability to provide problem prevention and resolutions
  • Work accurately with close attention to details, displaying good time-management skills
  • Process and maintain quality control and confidentiality over critical processes and information, multi-task and finish assigned tasks timely and efficiently

**Pursuant to the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules, the salary range above represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Incentives based on Timberline Team goals may also be offered. In addition, Timberline Bank provides a variety of benefits to full time employees, including health insurance coverage, vision insurance, dental insurance, life and disability coverage, 401K plan, paid holidays and paid time off.
